MEMBER"S PROFILE

Born in Portland, Oregon and moved to southern Calif. at the age of 3 and never left. I currently live in Long Beach, CA, love the beach cities. I am married with (1) child, all grown up now. As for my age I’ll just say that I am older than most guys that mod this type of car, if you saw me in my ride you would probably think it was my son’s car or that it was stolen! I like all things mechanical, fast cars, computers, sci-fi movies & loud rock & roll music. I enjoy going to car shows meeting people and seeing all the new ideas and the things I could do to my ride if I only had the cash. I like helping others when I can and don’t believe in the phrase “that’s a stupid question” there are no stupid questions, only stupid people that don’t ask questions and end up screwing it up. If you truly don’t know the answer it’s not a stupid question.
Tuning my Avenger, nickname “Project Spare Time” all started when I decided to put some 18” wheels and low profile tires on my ride. When I saw how it changed the way the car looked I decided to lower it with some coilovers and adjustable shocks, and then came the body kit, it just kept going after that and hasn’t stopped yet. With no sponsors and other expensive hobbies it’s been a long road getting it to this point.
I am a marine technician by trade (boat mechanic) in Gardena, CA. and have been doing it for many years. I have several hobbies including tuning my Venge of course, sport fishing, vinyl graphics; I do all of my own decals. My main hobby is r/c cars, I race several classes of gas and electric, on road 1/10 & 1/8 scale radio controlled race cars, my favorite class being 1/8 scale 4WD nitro powered on road, 0-65 mph in less than 3 seconds on an asphalt road course. I like all types of racing, motor sports, watching and participating and someday I would like to try drifting.
